Teacher Secondments

Developing Educational Resources

We second school teachers to work along side our Education Officer in developing educational resources to accompany our productions. These resources are given free of charge and highlight the themes and ideas that the productions introduce. They provide a way for the learning to continue when back in the classroom and enrich the whole experience for the pupils.

The secondments are usually spread over two to three days and Theatr na n'Óg will pay for supply cover in order for teachers to be released.

We very much value the contribution of teachers on these projects as we are always looking to make our work relevant and innovative. Enabling teachers to work with us also contributes to their Continued Professional Development.
