Halt! Who Goes There? 2009
How useful and enjoyable was the workshop? What did the pupils gain from participating in the workshop? How effective was the structure of the workshop and the stimuli used? What did you as a teacher gain from observing the workshop? Did you feel the workshop was value for money?
The whole thing was fantastic! They were thinking and sharing the whole session. It was perfect! Ideas to enrich work from the play.
The workshop was great. It fitted in really well with our study of WWII. It was a great follow up to the play and helped develop knowledge. It also fits in really well with the new skills based curriculum - drama/ oracy. They found it a very positive experience. Helped with developing confidence and performance skills. The workshop was well organised and structured. It was led clearly and effectively. I enjoy using drama - it was great to see this mixture of mime, action and tableaux working together. It is always great to stand back and watch the pupils and the way they interact.
A fantastic opportunity for children to follow up the story they had been told about during the performance. I was really pleased that children worked so well in groups. ONe boy who finds leaning difficult particularly shone and was very vocal in role -great to see. Excellent - all children were engaged and focused throughout. Excellent ideas doe frame activities - reminded me how important it is to interpret information through drama. We are currently reading 'Street Child' and now feel more confident about drama activities we can try. Absolutely - A fantastic morning - Thank you!
