![]() BBC writer pens recent play for Theatr na n'OgTheatr na n'Og's production, Me, A Giant! is written by successful Welsh playwright Roger Williams. Roger’s television credits include "The Story of Tracy Beaker" (BBC1/CBBC), "Secret Sis" (BBC1/CBBC), "Pobol y Cwm" (BBC Cymru) and the BAFTA nominated "Tales From Pleasure Beach" (BBC2). Roger, who is 30 years old and lives in Neath and Pembrey, has written Me, A Giant! based on Jack & The Beanstalk, in English and Welsh. "It has been a long held ambition to work with Theatr na n'Og. Their professionalism and high standards are famous throughout Wales. The company provides high quality plays for schools and I've enjoyed writing for them enormously. Me, A Giant! is a play about friendship and difference. A valuable lesson for everyone, not just the 4-7 year olds the play is aimed at," says Roger. Roger has also written theatre plays for Made In Wales, the Sherman Theatre Company, and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, as well as five radio plays for the BBC. Roger's plays have been performed in New Zealand, Australia and the USA. "Chapter will produce my new play "Mother Tongue" in July this year"
