GENDROS Primary School was the latest venue for this enchanting production from Theatr na n'Og, performed before an enraptured audience of five to seven-year-olds.

While the rain poured down outside, Dora Jones and Siwan Bowen Davies took the children into realms of fantasy with this disarmingly simple story about two characters stuck indoors on a rainy day.

The nuances and rhythms of children's speech was captured brilliantly here by the two actresses, who clearly relished the opportunity to address their young audience on their own level.

Ioan Hefin's script was endearing and wonderfully quirky, while the colourful set was designed in such a way that the children were drawn into the action and made to feel actively involved.

This was delightful stuff, demonstrating that theatre has a vital role to play in education - while providing a lot of fun on the way.
