Aesop’s Fables

The Mouse tells stories because it doesn't want to get eaten by the Lion, the Lion because it wants to eat the Mouse, and the Tortoise because, well, because it wants to eat its lettuce sandwich

A Mouse, a Lion and a Tortoise are thrown together in this fantastic adaptation, relaying some of the most famous moral tales in history.

Not content with simple storytelling however, each character has it's own rather quirky spin on these famous adventures.
The Mouse churns out tales to avoid being eaten by the Lion, the Lion spins his yarn because it wants to eat the Mouse, and the Tortoise...well the Tortoise just wants a bit of peace and quiet to eat her lovely lettuce sandwich.
These animal raconteurs take us through a multitude of fables involving wily wolves, dopey dogs, haring hares, flattering foxes and even silly humans.
As relevant now as they were centuries ago, these bitesized tales are presented with effervescent verve guaranteed to delight.

Remaining true to the spirit of Aesop, Theatr na n’Og’s production will make you laugh out loud, and who knows you might learn something too!
