Meet the writer

Katherine Chandler

Katherine started her career in theatre in the administration dept of the Sherman Theatre. She went on to work for the Sherman for five years before leaving to attend the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama to train as a Stage Manager. Katherine graduated in 1997 and worked for companies such as Made in Wales, The Sherman Theatre, HTV and Theatre West Glamorgan.

After having children, Katherine decided to concentrate on writing and was delighted when Geinor Styles approached her to write The Bankrupt Bride.

Katherine has worked as a writer on community projects with Bridgend Young Writing Squad and The Yellow Project, both of which had plays produced and performed. She was also the Dialogue Writer on the feature film Miss Conception.

Katherine lives in Penarth with the three best things in her life Guy, Mali and Mathonwy.
