Television credits include: Dau Dŷ a Ni, Mici in Tipyn o Stad, Dafydd Meirion in A470 (ITV) and in a number of short films. Earlier this year Dan worked for Disney on the forthcoming Muppet Movie sequel at Pinewood studios (he got to meet his heroes Kermit, Fozzie and Animal in the flesh!) Muppets Most Wanted will be released this Spring.
Dan is a professional signed guitarist/singer-songwriter/ multi- instrumentalist and has had recent success with his first solo studio album Tro Ar Fyd reaching no 3 in BBC Radio Cymru’s chart. He is a regular on Welsh Daniel was raised in Rhosllannerchrugog and trained East 15 Acting School. During training he enjoyed roles as De Flores in The Changeling, Tewson in Fen, Emmanuel in Widows and Algernon in The Importance Of Being Earnest. In 2004 he was a BBC’s Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award finalist.
Theatre credits include: Some Like It Hotter (Nationwide Tour) Mods and Rox (The NewWolsey Theatre), Deffro’r Gwanwyn/Spring Awakening a New Musical (Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru/Elen Bowman). Gluscabi, Melangell, The Princess and the Hunter, Me, a Giant! for Theatr na nÓg, The Comedy of Errors (Stafford Festival Shakespeare) and Romeo & Juliet for Bitesize Theatre.television and radio performing his own songs. Appearances include: Wedi 3, Ar Gamera, Yr Ystafell Fyw, Trac, Gofod, Bro, Bryn Terfel’s Gwyl Y Faenol, Pws, Wedi 7, Noson Lawen, Nodyn, Uned 5 and Bandit.
He also fronts the Welsh band Daniel Lloyd a Mr Pinc who have released several Welsh language recordings and have toured extensively over the past 10 years. A career highlight of theirs was a performance at the Bryn Terfel Faenol festival in 2008.
Dan began his career with Theatr na nÓg almost ten years ago... he is thrilled to be appearing in Tom.
