CLIMATE STATEMENT

Theatr na nÓg recognises that we are in a climate emergency and that we have a responsibility beyond our legal obligations to aim for carbon neutrality as soon as possible. We recognise that the work our industry creates is temporary, and that every part of a theatre production can have an impact, from the raw materials used for set, costume, lighting and sound, to the audience travelling to a venue.

We believe that the stories we tell can be part of the solution, as theatre can educate, open people’s minds, deepening their understanding of our natural world. Although previous stories we have told focused on the environment, we recognise that this is not enough, and that we must recommit ourselves to focusing on the environment off the stage too.
